Ward's Butteryfly Wing Mural
creating an interactive selfie wall for ward's school of dance
Ward's School of Dances reached out to me after seeing another mural of mine. They wanted an interactive selfie wall mural to be installed outside their building for two reasons ; one to create a stunning backdrop for their dancers to get photos with and share on social media, and another to engage passerby's with their business. We had an initial phone meeting discussing the goals of the mural; the theme, colors, flowers. We discussed substrate and materials because we couldn't paint directly on the wall and went with transportable and long lasting Alu composite panels. I presented a few design options based on this initial call and they loved this one!
This took 1-2 weeks to create, I had sealed it with an isolation coating and UV varnish to that it lasts even longer outdoors and is washable if need be. Installation day came and fun was had by all.
Many little, and big dancers had solo and group pictures taken here. I have also seen others tag me and their business on social media with these wings. This interactive mural is not only beautiful, but it draws new eyes to their business and provides value to their dance community.
